Winter Riding

I really like living at the top of a big climb.  It's a great way to end a ride (most of the time).  But I hate having to drop down Suncrest in the winter to start the ride.  Here I am about to freeze.  Maybe it's time to buy some winter bibs with a wind guard in the front instead of stuffing newspaper down there.  Anybody have some recommendations?

I hate that part as well. Hate starting out a ride freezing! I have some cannondale tights that are decent. They run a little small though. I don't feel like I have 100% movement in them. That of course could also be because I put on a little weight in the winter but we wont talk about that.

I got some Garmin team issue bib tights a few seasons ago, from Slipstream's ebay store. They were Pearl Izumi's. Fleeced inside, wind/waterproof on the front, no chamois. Probably my favorite piece of gear. Although I don't get to use them too often anymore.
