Climbing With Gum

Ever notice how climbing with peppermint gum helps with your breathing? I don't always chew gum, but when I do, I choose Stride. Not only does it last all day, it has a cool blue color.

It gives me a headache in my temples to chew gum while wearing a helmet. Weird, but true.

Brandon- I'm waiting by my phone. Should be any day now that Stride calls me with the offer.

Evil- That just makes my stomach churn.

Jamie- Maybe it's not the gum but the music is up too loud?

My wife chews gum when she races - says it prevents cottonmouth. I've tried it a few times and it does work, I just don't like chewing gum while I ride, and I'm not that coordinated.

The yellow Stride tastes exactly like the old Fruit Stripes gum (the kind that had no flavor after 3 chews.)

Thought I would pass that on.

I have try this, now. I've used the Dentyne Ice Arctic Blast flavor to clear my sinuses when I had a cold -- never thought of doing it on the bike.

Great idea (provided one does not choke to death)!
