Solitude ICUP preview

I pre-rode the Solitude ICUP course earlier this week. By far the hardest of all ICUP courses. Steep climbs & technical downhills. It's going to hurt so good.

32 x 19 might be a little aggressive for me on this type of a course but at the moment, it's all I have.

Paramedics, please stand by.

I have a 22 and a 20. Email me if you want to use them.

Brandon- I'm trying to force my body to run the 19. (Leadville is a month away) but thanks.

Are you racing?

Rode the course last night. Fun as a pleasure ride, but for racing there will be pain.

I was sad to see the root spider web had been chopped out. I know it was treacherous but I strangely liked that hazard.

The trail work (and recent riding/ Wednesday night racing) has produced a lot of soft spots. Will be exciting (aka crash-prone) at race speed.

A Canyon rider was on a SS pre-riding the course and he was running 32x20. He did OK and only walked the last 10-20 yards of the upper loop climb.

I got a pre-ride in today and am totally bummed I don't have suspension. I'm putting on the 22 cog just so I can finish.
