Badge of Honor

I wear my stench as a badge of honor.

As I sit in a conf room at work, picking clumps of dirt off my socks and legs, thinking about the lunch ride I just did, I can't help but smile. I know I probably smell ripe to those around me. I don't care. It's worth it. I'm proud of my stench.

To me, it smells way better than that cheap cologne that "puff" is wearing next to me.

I just hope HR understands.

Describing someone as "puff" is of no use without pictures.

BTW, my word verification is "covet." Would be appropriate were I not about to get dressed for a late lunch ride.

You'll be getting a memo from HR about creating a hostile work environment.

Why can't everyone be cyclists?

I don't think I could pull it off. Things get a little up close and personal in my world. Last year I had a shower installed in a tiny closet. Absolutley broke a few building codes with that one...but works great.

I will say, there is no substitute for a good lunch ride. Wore my new MASHer jersey for the first time today. Best jersey I own.

Mark (UtRider) turned me on to the cyclist's secret clean-up weapon: baby wipes. I recommend unscented, unless you want women drawn to you with a baby-hungry expression on their faces.

Clark- good to know there is a public shower in the Draper area. You could charge $1 per shower and make some side money.

Glad you like the jersey. Thanks!

Kris- Yeah, I have a pack of baby wipes but those are for very bad stink days. Good idea though.

Mark- I'm not sure how to describe a puff but you'll know when you see one.

I mentioned after my ride today that the nice thing about spring rides is that the stink isn't so bad. Summer stink is a little harder to deal with.
