Kyle- I learned from you to run a new chain every few months. Thanks for the tip.
SBJ- I'm no threat and nobody who races SS (who is heading down this weekend) reads this blog. Except Kyle. Maybe Kyle will show up but then I'm screwed no matter what gear I run.
Good idea taking the break pads out. They only add weight and cause you to unnecessarily slow down. But you may as well take your disk off too. Rotating weight is the worst kind.

my strategy is to leave the bike hanging where it's been hanging for 6 months.
i need an intervention.
An engineer told me once that clean chains reduce friction up to 25%. Good call choosing to race with a clean chain.
That motorized hub should do the trick. Nah, your legs have plenty of power to turn that little gear.
dug, only non-skiers would intervene.
Good luck. What is the other side of that 17? 32, 34, 36?
You sure you want to tip your hand like that?
