"Does this look right to you?"
I found this picture in an old photo album of mine. This was taken in 1977 and is a picture of my twin brother and me with our "swim coach".
There are so many things wrong here. Let's forget the speedos. That's a whole other bag of issues.
I ask you. Would YOU let your children play in a pool with this man? Holy crap. I'm calling my parents right now to give them a piece of my mind.

this is exactly what the interwebs were invented for. it may be my favorite thing ever posted to the internet.
i can't stop laughing.
Well you weren't really a swimmer unless you rocked the speedo. You were a serious swimmer if you wore 2 of them at the same time. Very nice picture. Your parents should here about this.
Um. Your coaches speedo is a little threadbare.
The line between a speedo and a pair of bike shorts is very very thin.
Just sayin.
Dug, stick to yer baggies.
The matching speedos are U. S. Awesome. You're superheros. Well, except for the being held by an older, also speedo'ed guy.
Best photo I've seen in a long time.
"say, is that a flotation device in your pocket or are you just happy to be holding me?"
This certainly explains the personal space issues. I had no idea.
You have to admit, he is pretty hot. The beard is amazing.
Are you rubbing oil on his chest?
Aaron- That would be Rob. I'm the much better looking boy on the right.
OMG the comments on this post need to be a post in themselves. Hilarious. I gagged on my coffee with Aaron's oil comment. Classic.
2The fact that there are now something wrong with this photograph shows that Americans have gotten more and more stupid. When this photo was taken, nobody cared because everybody was simply wearing a swimsuit.
Nowadays, because it is a speedo, there are all kind of insinuations of inappropriateness.
The sexual revolution of the 60s/70s saw people free themselves from feeling that there was anything dirty with the human body. Men wore short shorts. Speedos were the norm. As far as the 70s is concerned, this is 3 dressed persons taking a pretty standard pose for a photograph. Stop looking at things through the perspective of today's values.
