Night bike practice tonight. Getting ready for this.
Have I mentioned how creepy Corner Canyon is at night when riding solo? I stopped to pee and found myself peeing in a circle so my back wasn't exposed at any given side too long.
peeing in circles also marks a good territorial radius. inside that circle no creature dares enter. i am hopefully only a few days out from light delivery then i'll have your back on those dark eerie nights in cc. just don't pee on me during your rotation.
I know what you mean. I hit CC last night solo in the dark and felt the same way. I feel like I have to make loud noises to scare off any animals that might be on the trail or lurking in the brush. It's weird that as soon as I find another person or two to ride with, that feeling just disappears. We're all just a bunch of chickens. Shouldn't have watched all those slasher movies as a teenager.
I'm adopting the peeing in circles defense.
