The GOOD kind of meetings

Met with a few guys in marketing & finance yesterday to discuss the 09 cycling team at work. What started out as a small group of less than 10 riders 2 years ago, has evolved into a machine of 70-100 riders (not all local but still. That's a pretty good number).

We put together a solid budget to help cover the costs of the kits, event registrations, misc apparel and give aways.
It's now being floated around upstairs w/ the Executive Team for approval. If we can pull this off, it will mean a full team kit (bibs, jersey, arm warmers, knee warmers, socks & bottles). It will also mean the ability to exepense some of the local races. But what really gets me excited is my lunch rides have turned into "training for the work cycling team". All I have to do is make sure I wear the jersey and all of a sudden, i'm the good Corp citizen by riding during lunch.

It's a beautiful thing.
Next year I'm asking for some bike frames.

Too bad my name isn't Doug or I could work there (reference to job advertisement on I-15 billboard).

It would be sweet. I live 4 blocks away so it would be bike to work, bike at lunch, and bike home. And I look good in green. Serenity now!

I just spent last saturday with one of your execs looking at bikes. brad rencher - tell him you think he looks like a natural cyclist, that you will teach him some mad skills, and that you can give him some great beta on a new bike. budget approved.

i'd take an omtr kit for the referral fee. last years design was money.
